"Hensley will tell you that the music of Hank Williams was very honest and pure, like much of the country music spawned in times prior to commercialism and over production. The music was raw, emotional, pure and above all else it meant something. Little can be said about the meaning behind many of the songs heard today on the radio airwaves, whether it be Top 40 country or the Billboard pop charts. That honesty and purity in music is what Hensley wants to capture and give to listeners in his weekly radio program, Are you ready for the country? Think back to a time and place before television sets filled every home. Think back to the time when the radio was the main source of entertainment that brought family and friends together and in one room to gather round the radio to listen to programs like The Louisiana Hayride or The Grand Ole Opry. During the programs a family would sit quiety listening to everything very closely not wanting to miss a thing, fearing that static may interrupt a crucial part of the show..

While we won't be playing the music from that era only we are, however, going to attempt to capture that old fashioned magic that radio seemed to carry back then.

We encourage people to tune in to our show and hear the most diverse radio show on commercial radio. While listening you will hear country music but also rock, folk, rockabilly, blues, and bluegrass music. Listen with an open mind and be prepared to be turned on to all types of records, artists, and songs.
